Bridge of Beyond

I could tell Bridge of Beyond was going to be a somewhat depressing story from the beginning. Telumee lives somewhat of a sad life. Her husband kicks her out for another woman but she does get married to another man who was friends with her first husband. Amboise is older than her and they seem to have a somewhat happy life. In true depressing story fashion her second husband Amboise dies. The way Amboise dies is sad although it possibly could have been avoided. The knowledge of how and why he died is why Telumee get so upset when she hears the news. The Bridge of Beyond doesn’t end and sad as I originally thought it would. After Amboise dies Telumee does not live a sad life, she lives on her own and she makes new friends.
